My IndieWeb Journey: Building, Sharing, and Owning Your Online Presence.
Ana does a great job of capturing the IndieWeb spirit in this post. I think her personal and transparent description of her own experience is incredibly relatable. My own experience mirrors a lot of what she’s described. From being unhappy with the experience of traditional social media to learning to let go of the technical milestones in favor of sharing with the community, these are the real/human experiences of being in the IndieWeb community.
I’ve found a lot of joy in cultivating my own space on the web and connected with some great people in the process. I can’t say I’ve figured out how to succinctly and adequately describe the IndieWeb community to people because the experiences are all so unique. But Ana’s is a fantastic example.
