TIL “bight” is another term for an open bay. Such as the Southern California Bight. Thanks to Joe and James for sending me down this rabbit hole. Bonus geography vocab “tombolo” refers to a type of isthmus where a spit connects to a tied island.
Saw this in an API at work. I’m much more familiar with “to acquiesce” which I typically associate more with deferring to someone louder.
Was wondering what it meant for a denomination to have and ecumenical focus. Turns out it means not being focused on the denomination. 🤔
