  • 1 1/2 cups of rice
  • 1/2 large sweet onion chopped
  • 4 1/2 cups of water (3:1 ratio)
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons tomato boullion with chicken flavor (caldo de tomate con sabor de pollo)


  1. Brown the rice and onion with some oil in a medium saucepan over high heat until the rice is golden
  2. Add water and boullion to taste and bring to a boil
  3. Reduce to a simmer and cook until all water has been absorbed, about 25 minutes
